What does it it mean to a modern Chiropractor?

What should it mean? In order for Chiropractic to thrive over the years, the profession has developed specific concepts, systems, services and strategies that are unique and imperative to the success of the state-of-the-art health care that it provides to its patients. The profession has also created unique business management systems and strategies needed to run their practices, just as any successful businesses would.

Your challenge, before you came to Davlen, was to find a designer that fully understands the true level of health that Chiropractic can provide. Someone that understands the unique clinical and business concepts, that understands the theoretical concepts that can work with or against a Chiropractor as they treat their patients.

Most doctors spend more time planning their vacation then they do planning their office environment, and yet they spend more time in their offices then they do in their homes.

Please, what ever you do, don't trivialize the importance to having your work place, the very place that creates your cash flow, The location that reflects your professional expertise and competence, designed and developed in a haphazard manner. Be sure to include design concepts that will enhance your patients experience as you deliver the best health and wellness lifestyle to them. Don't put this level of importance into the hands of someone that knows less about the unique design requirements of your profession then they do about the health and wellness benefits that they can achieve with Chiropractic care.

The best place to start is by asking someone how long they have been a Chiropractic patient. Then ask them about their Chiropractic Philosophy.... Once the dumb stare wears off ask them about some of the following points that Davlen specializes in. (As a matter of fact, Davlen has created most of these concepts.) Which of these points will be important to you? 9 times out of ten, these concepts will save you money in the short and long term so why not benefit from them.

Don't get me wrong, You may or may not need an architect, but that is not up to you or I. It is up to your township and their rules. Your contractor should know for sure. What I am saying is that in order for you to get the most for the least, everyone must do what they do best. You have to focus on growing your practice and caring for your patients. The builder must ensure that the construction work must be done so in a workmanlike manner. They also must be sure that any work that they do is legal!!!

If your builder decides that you need someone to create construction documents for the town to accept, or you need a structural analysis, you may need an Architect or engineer for that.

The facility development and design services that we provide translate the clinical and business systems and strategies that will make your practice a profitable one into something that the builder can carry out. In your best interest, do not let anyone handle any of the items listed above that they know NOTHING about. Use your recourses for what they all do best. After all, we would never try to calculate electrical loads, HVAC needs or determine structural parameters required to hold up a roof. Do not let anyone design your place of business that knows nothing about your business.

Deciding to have your office designed by someone that knows nothing about the business of your profession is like a patient deciding to use pain medication instead of Chiropractic care. It may work to get them out of pain, but does nothing to solve the cause of the problem or prevent future similar episodes, or to improve their overall health and wellbeing. Since you understand what Chiropractic has to offer to your patients, you already understand what Davlen has to offer to you.

When choosing a designer for the temple of your craft, be sure that you and your patients receive all that they deserve. Choose right, Choose wisely, Choose Davlen
